Press Release   December 2009

A reminder to get your tickets to celebrate summer, sun and sea in Kleinmond with us at The Big Blue(s) Festival from 8-10 January 2010!

Drive away "the holiday is almost over" blues when you are entertained by Tribal Echo, Piet Botha, Akkedis, Anton Goosen, CODA and many more talented artists! We will kick off the fest by hosting the KidsCan! Talent Show – all singers and dancers aged 7-25 are invited to enter now!

Remember that kiddies enter the festival area for free! The coolest kids' club area will provide fun under the shady marquee, as well as the magic of a petting zoo and pony rides ... Mom and dad can browse the arts & crafts stalls for something special to take home.

We haven't forgotten the adrenaline junkies ... challenge your mates to a fun game of paintball, or enter our more serious Paintball Corporate Challenge – with great prizes!! Know of a better way to go back to work than with a trophy under your arm? If you still have any energy left, our athletics and cycling clubs are presenting a Night Marathon, Beach Miles, Fun Runs, and a Mountain Bike Bonanza in the Fynbos – this event takes place on a private farm, and you will not get the opportunity to ride there again! Enter online.

The Totalsports Challenge ends at the festival grounds on Saturday 9 January, be sure to get a good seat to watch these masters in action!

The Arabella Big Blue Scramble Golf Day is presented on Sunday, 10 January. For those with a bigger handicap, join us at the Arabella Chip & Putt course at the festival grounds and stand a chance to win some great prizes!

All this while you sip an ice cold SAB beer and munch on the freshest seafood available, next to the magnificent Kleinmond Lagoon and Blue Flag Beach!

On that note, we encourage you not to drink and drive – camping is available, as well as other accommodation options in Rooi Els, Pringle Bay, Betty's Bay and Kleinmond.

Festival tickets available at Computicket or contact: Hangklip-Kleinmond Tourism Bureau (028 271 5657) or info@ecoscape.org.za. Visit our websites: www.thebigblue.co.za and www.ecoscape.org.za or join us on Facebook!
